Photos of Hemorrhoids are not the funnest thing to look at, but they can help you identify which type of hemorrhoid you are dealing with.

External Hemorrhoid that has swollen to the point of forming a skin tag that will be left behind when and if the swelling ever goes down.

Swollen and somewhat thrombosed external hemorrhoid.

Thrombosis is a condition that arises when blood in the area of the hemorrhoid begins to clot from lack of movement causing the skin to swell.

External Hemorrhoid that has become raw from exposure.

External hemorrhoid that is beginning to become thrombosed as the flow of blood is inhibited in the area.

External Hemorrhoid that is swollen but not yet thrombosed to a large degree.

Thrombosed External Hemorrhoid that is swollen and very painful.

Internal Hemorrhoid that has some bleeding associated with it.

Though not painful, internal hemorrhoids can bleed and become problematic to the point of prolapsing. (or falling out)

Hemorrhoidectomy where hemorrhoidal tissue was surgically removed.
